IRINA DEPLER - began her training at the Kiev Choreographic School in the former Soviet Union and graduated from the prestigious Moscow Institute of Theater art with a gold medal, the highest honor one can receive upon graduation. Irina danced for over 20 years with the National Theater of Ballet Opera of the Ukraine as principal dancer in numerous ballets, including Chopiniana, Carmen, Don Juan, Seven Beauties and Cinderella among others. She has also served as Ballet Mistress of many prestigious schools and companies worldwide.
VADIM FEDOTOV - Vadim is an internationally recognized Ballet Master, Artistic Director and Choreographer. For over 20 years, Vadim performed as principal dancer with the National Opera and Ballet of the Ukraine, dancing leading roles in prominent performances such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote and The Nutcracker. Vadim has taught at many prestigious institutions, including The National Theater of Ballet and Opera in Kiev, Ukraine, National Theatre of Serbia, the Dance Academy of Ukraine, and was the General Director of the Chamber of Ballet in Kiev. He has produced numerous films (musicals) in the Ukraine and has been awarded multiple professional and state honors, including Honor of the Supreme Soviet Council of Ukraine 1985, Honor Artist of Ukraine and Laureate International Choreographer for competitions in Moscow and Kiev.
KATIE STASSE - Katie began ballet at age 3. She trained with Russian Ballet for 16 years. Katie was trained under Cecelia Serra, Tatiana Kopp, Beatrix de la Roche, Irina Depler, & Vadim Fedatov. She has performed as a principal dancer in many productions such as Snow White, Giselle, Cinderella, Paquita, West Side Story, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, Snow Queen and as a soloist in many more. Katie was a soloist at Dallas Ballet and Dallas Neoclassical as well as principal freelance artist around Texas. She has been teaching for 14 years and was a guest teacher to schools in Texas. She teaches all ages, and currently enjoys teaching mid-level students and helping to use what they learned in the lower levels to transform them by perfecting their skills, introducing them to more advanced techniques and expanding their abilities.
PHOENIX ELMER Phoenix began her dance career at the tender age of 6. She has trained most of her life in the Vaganova (Russian) method of ballet. She previously trained at Russian Ballet Alafaya. Phoenix has competed at many prestigious ballet competitions including Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) making it to the finals in NYC, The World Ballet Competition (WBC) receiving a Bronze Medal, and The American Dance Competition (ADC/IBC). She has also been awarded many full scholarships to nationally known ballet companies including The American Ballet Theater (ABT) in New York City. She was also with the Orlando Ballet as a full time trainee. Phoenix enjoys teaching the art of ballet to others and sharing all that she has learned over the past 13 years.
POLINA ZHITSKAY - Polina has been at Russian Ballet for 17 years, trained by Irina and Vadim. She is currently studying at UCF as a Finance major. She is also an accomplished pianist and shares this passion with students as a piano teacher. Polina teaches young students at Russian Ballet Alafaya and has participated in various performances, including Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, and Coppelia.
